The collection contains Oldaker's letters to his parents and a close friend Harry Isaacs; typescripts of "Max Oldaker: last of the matinee idols" by Charles Osborne, miscellaneous typescripts by Oldaker, newspaper cuttings, photographs, contracts with various companies; photocopies, music scores, pamphlets and copies of 3 annotated monographs owned by Oldaker, one of which contains letters and telegrams from Noel Coward. Other correspondents include: Edward Branscombe, Frank Tait, John Meyer, David Kendall, Ivor Novello, Leontine Sagan, Noel Coward and Barry Humphries.
